Crown College hosts a wide variety of events throughout the year, including corporate meetings, conferences, admissions events, athletic competitions, chapel services, summer camps, and community gatherings. Successfully delivering these events required more than logistical coordination—it demanded efficient operations, clear communication across departments, exceptional customer service, and the flexibility to adapt quickly to changing needs.

As the Events team continued to grow, there was an opportunity not only to improve day-to-day event operations but also to strengthen Crown's corporate event strategy by researching the competitive landscape, identifying market opportunities, and communicating the unique value the college could offer as a destination for corporate and community events.

My Role

As a member of the Crown Events team, I supported the planning and execution of campus, corporate, and community events from initial preparation through post-event completion. My role combined event operations, client relations, project coordination, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure every event delivered a professional and welcoming experience.

I worked closely with event clients, vendors, faculty, and departments across the college to coordinate logistics, schedule event setup teams, prepare venues, manage audiovisual support, and represent Crown College throughout the planning and execution process. Whether supporting conferences, admissions events, athletic competitions, chapel services, or corporate gatherings, my focus was on delivering exceptional experiences while maintaining efficient operations and strong communication across every stage of an event.

Beyond my day-to-day responsibilities, I partnered with leadership to identify opportunities to improve both operational efficiency and the long-term growth of the Events department.

I helped redesign recurring event setups, including the weekly chapel service, by creating more efficient workflows that reduced setup time while maintaining a high-quality attendee experience. I also contributed to improving scheduling processes for event setup teams, helping allocate resources more effectively and support multiple events simultaneously.

On the strategic side, I collaborated with leadership to develop Crown's corporate event strategy by conducting market research, analyzing competing venues, identifying the college's competitive advantages, and creating marketing content that positioned Crown as a destination for corporate and community events. As part of this initiative, I helped organize showcase events that welcomed businesses, organizations, and community leaders to campus, giving them the opportunity to experience Crown's facilities firsthand, build relationships with the Events team, and explore the college as a venue for future events and partnerships.
